We are committed to sourcing as many products from local suppliers as possible. By buying in this way we are able to closely monitor the social and environmental issues impacting these supply chains and mitigate potential risks.

The supply list below, updated every year, forms part of our commitment to building transparency within supply chains and includes the fishing regions of all major farms used for our Deluxe Oak Smoked Scottish Salmon.

All of our Deluxe Scottish Salmon is sourced from Global Gap and RSPCA Assured sources, meaning that our commitment to sustainable sourcing is integrated within our buying policies.

Global Gap is an internationally recognised standard for farmed seafood production. Certification covers food safety and traceability, environment, animal welfare, and workers’ health, safety & welfare. By working with Global Gap, we are able to trace the products we sell to farm level. The standard demands greater efficiency in production and improves business performance, as well as reducing waste.

Together, with our local suppliers, we ensure the sourcing facilities are independently certified to ensure a commitment to sustainable fisheries and helping to develop local communities. Throughout 2018, our suppliers helped to build strong local communities supporting schools and conservation programmes, securing the future of the Scottish seafood sector.
