  • This World Bee Day, Lidl stores nationwide are giving away free packs of flower seeds – for one day only (Saturday 20th May)
  • Shoppers can also get their hands on a variety of bee-friendly plants at purse-friendly prices, starting from just £2.29
  • Lidl is donating 10p from every sale of the plants, available in stores from 18th May-4th June, to the Bumblebee Conservation Trust

Thursday 18th May: In celebration of World Bee Day this weekend, Lidl is buzzing to be bringing back its free seed giveaway across stores nationwide on Saturday 20th May. Shoppers simply need to ask for a free pack at the till, before getting busy growing an unbee-lievable summer garden, window box or flower pot!

With warmer weather on the horizon, customers can also pick up Lidl’s picture-perfect range of pollinator plants including English Lavender (£2.99), Dwarf Fruit Trees (£9.99) and Assorted Flowering Plants (£2.29). Lidl is donating 10p from every sale of these to the Bumblebee Conservation Trust – a charity dedicated to creating and restoring bumblebee-friendly habitats across the UK.

Bees and butterflies are vital to the pollination process. So by growing bumblebee and butterfly-friendly botanics on front steps, window sills or in gardens, eco-conscious Brits can contribute to the essential reproduction of plants. And this week, Lidl shoppers can do so at purse-friendly prices.

Lidl’s plant picks to support biodiversity are available in stores nationwide from 18th May, while stocks last. Shoppers can pick up their mixed annual flower seeds on 20th May (subject to availability, limited to 1 per customer).
