9TH SEPTEMBER, LONDON – Following huge public demand for more of the viral Lidl x Nikolas Bentel Croissant Handbags, Lidl has announced its first ever London Fashion Week pop-up - Patisserie Lidl. Paying homage to the nation’s favourite supermarket bakery*, Patisserie Lidl will offer sweet, pastry treats and a limited number of Croissant Handbags from Friday 13th September - Saturday 14th September, 9AM-4PM

The ‘Croissant Handbag’ is officially the ‘it’ bag of the season, designed by absurdist designer Nikolas Bentel in tribute to the iconic Lidl Bakery item that sells 122** every minute. The limited-edition bags exploded onto the fashion scene and sold out in under two minutes, and have even been spotted on British fashion royalty, Jordan Stephens.

Jordan joins the leagues of ‘Croissant Handbag’ superfans, some of whom took to social media to proclaim “I’d give my life for this”, “Most beautiful creation I’ve seen”, “NEED IT!!!”, and “THIS IS SO CUTE WHAT THE HECK”***.

To feed the demand, Patisserie Lidl pop-up is where high fashion boutique meets Lidl bakery. The venue celebrates Lidl as the nation’s No1 supermarket bakery, whilst showcasing the aesthetic inspiration behind the viral accessory. Shoppers who missed out on the initial drop can get their hands on one of the luxurious, leather handbags for just £50, which are being sold on a first-come first-served basis, ready to be carried straight to the FROWs of London Fashion Week.

In true patisserie style, the unmissable pop-up will also be serving up a delicious range of Lidl’s famed baked goods. Visitors can even sample the muse behind the handbags, the Lidl ‘All Butter Croissant’, available for just 59p with all proceeds from the popup going to children’s charity, the NSPCC.

The Patisserie Lidl opens its doors at 55A Dean Street, London, W1D 6AG, between 9AM-4PM from Friday 13th September to Saturday 14th September.
