  • Lidl is on the hunt for three fashion-forward fans to become ‘Merch Muses’ this festival season – aka the best job of the summer.  
  • Successful candidates will receive 2 VIP tickets to three top UK festivals, a £2k payment package, £500 travel and spending money, and the chance to blast the Lidl merch cannon into the crowds - all in exchange for wearing Lidl’s new collection, which includes bold bucket hats and new retro shell jackets. 
  • To apply, all fans need to do is follow the Lidl Instagram page (@lidlgb) and comment three words which describe them under the post announcing the competition on 6th June 2024. 

6TH JUNE 2024: Lidl is on the search for three festival fans to attend this summer’s party circuit as official ‘Merch Muses’ – individuals dripping head to toe in the supermarket’s new cult merch collection.  

Lidl’s merch range has already become an established staple of outlandish festival fashion, worn by only the most iconic partygoers. This summer, the supermarket is going one step further by officially hiring ‘Merch Muses’ to turn heads and act as walking, talking, mud stomping mannequins for its statement pieces.  

The three Merch Muses will be responsible for visually spreading the word about the highly anticipated new collection and, courtesy of Lidl, will enjoy ultimate VIP experiences for them and a plus one at Tramlines, Boardmasters and Victorious festivals, as well as accommodation and a huge £2k payment package, and £500 towards includes travel costs and spending money.  

Another key part of the role is also to brush shoulders with the stars on stage, as the official operator of Lidl’s coveted merch cannon*. The cannon is fired across the crowd, sending out merch to lucky catchers in the audience.  

Finally, the Merch Muses will also be plastered across Lidl social channels (will their full approval) donning the fresh merch, making sure Lidl’s millions of followers see them in their awesome summer job.  

The search comes as Lidl drops its brand-new merch collection, landing in the middle aisle on Thursday 13th June, just in time for the summer festival season. The range includes a 90’s inspired #Lidl Shell Jacket (£10.99), perfect for those looking to dance the day and night away whilst being fashionably prepared for the unpredictable British weather.  

Speaking of rain, Ladies’ #Lidl Wellington Boots (£11.99) in iconic Lidl blue, red or yellow are perfect for trudging around the (expected) muddy fields. For sunnier spots, the #Lidl Sliders (£4.99) land in store for the obligatory campsite shower trips. 

Finish off the fit by donning either a #Lidl Bucket Hat (£4.99) or #Lidl Bandana (£2.99) - with styles matching the rest of the range, shoppers can really go all out for the summer.
